Please be considerate when submitting. We're not interested in pop genres. If you do not understand our
mission statement, or cannot find anything of interest in our catalogue, we are probably not the right
publisher for you.
As a Canadian press, our primary focus is on encouraging Canadian talents and promoting their work to
national and global markets. International submissions are welcome but will only be selected only when
we are confident that they have both appeal and relevance to our Canadian audience.

_____We are interested in all possible deviations of the graphic novel; word free graphic fiction, book art,
collage novels etc... For illustrated novels, the artwork should be as important an element to the
story as the text - no less than 33% of the pages should be occupied by visual images.
_____Novellas/novels... 25 000 to 100 000 words. We like poetic prose, minimalism, everything in
between and beyond... Plot lines must be truly original - allow your imagination to unhinge.
_____Queries only please. Start with an effective tag line; then... give us your best, three hundred word,
“back of the book” synopsis. Don’t outline your entire manuscript, don’t tell us how it ends, just give what
is needed to get us hooked.
_____If we like what we see, you will get a reply from one of our editors within a few weeks asking for
the complete manuscript. If you don't receive any word from us at all, it's a good bet that your submission
was simply off target.
