Enigmatic ink is an independent literary publishing house dedicated to avant-garde, experimental or otherwise unique fiction, poetry and creative
non-fiction. The general focus is on postmodernist and interstitial forms that challenge the greater imagination with both stylistic innovation and conceptually
explorative themes, giving priority to beauty, perplexity and/or poignancy. Concertedly, these books are richly intelligent and inventive in their contexts,
curiously stimulating in the multi-layered subtexts and potential interpretations, and enthrallingly visceral throughout.

Consider the fantastic as well as the profound aspects of absurdism, expressionism, futurism, irrealism, magic-realism and/or surrealism. Bring these
considerations into the twenty-first century with completely unique styles and original themes, an
d you're almost on the right path. Categorized; perhaps
imaginative literature, literary fantasy, or postmodernism. Please, no standard pop genres unless c
onceptually advanced, deeply provocative or satiric.

— We are interested in all possible deviations of the graphic novel; word free graphic fiction, book art, collage novels etc... For illustrated novels, the
artwork should be as important an element to the story as the text - no less than 33% of the pages should be occupied by visual images.
Novellas/novels... 25 000 to 100 000 words. We like poetic prose, minimalism, everything in between and beyond... Plot lines must be truly original - allow
your imagination to unhinge.
— Queries only please. Essential: Start with an effective tag line; then... give us your best, three hundred word, “back of the book” synopsis. Don’t
outline your entire manuscript, don’t tell us how it ends, just give what is needed to get us hooked.
Not essential: Maybe tell us what makes you an ideal candidate for Enigmatic Ink. Satisfy our curiousity... Tell us what books of ours you have read
(or interest you) and what you like about them.
If we like what we see, you will get a reply from one of our editors within a few weeks asking for the complete manuscript.
