GX Jupitter-Larsen has been involved in punk rock, mail art, cassette culture, the noise scene, and zine culture. During the 1990s he was the sound
designer for the performances of Mark Pauline's Survival Research Laboratories. His best known work is as the founder of the noise act The Haters, who
have performed all over the world, and appear on over 300 CD & record releases.
____Underlying all of GX's work is a mix of aesthetic and conceptual obsessions, particularly entropy and decay, and a self-created lexicon consisting
mainly of personalized units of measurement such as the polywave, the totimorphous, and the xylowave.
____As a writer, GX wanted the same kind of aesthetic fanaticism in his text that the noise scene demands. He wanted to achieve, in language, the same
harsh beauty that is rendered in sound by amplified erosion. He wanted a form of writing that had both the feel and sound of nothingness. Taking his cue
from the noisy blank video static coming off an empty channel on a TV set, he represented vacuity in text as lines after lines of random letters; to be read
one letter at a time:
____GX is also a filmmaker and video artist. From 1982 to 1986, he submitted a black video tape entitled Blank Banner to over forty video festivals. It was
screened in nine. His best known video is his 1994 Holes On The Neck. In this piece, the vampire-movie motif is incorporated to deal with the issue of
entropy as fetish. The narrative is of a group of lesbian vampires who work and play on their garlic farm. Their human lovers desire to become vampires
themselves, and so lure these garlic farmers into initiating them into the fold.

A spy, who while observing Kettleday, reflects on a series of fanatic coincidences that take place on
several planets.
The first second after midnight. Bartholomew’s conclusion was that the accumulative effect of his
thoughts was much too vague. He needed to focus more. After a recent serious illness, focusing
on his lack of focus was the only thing he really could focus on; or so it would seem.
Three seconds after midnight. A connection had been made with a visitor from outer space. One
Henry Lloyd. A being who could best be described as a grant slug with five eyes stuck on the front
of his head. A body 20 metres long; weighing in at 500 kilograms. The Antarctic was the only place
where he’d been while visiting the planet. Word had it, the scientists he met there had been
effected. Somehow...
